GhostNode tracks auction lots on 8 marketplaces for its users, and every lot carries its closing time. Counted together, those closing times answer a question bidders ask constantly: **when do auctions actually end?**

The [full report](https://ghostnode.co/reports/when-online-auctions-end) counts 495,094 lots that closed between September 13, 2026 and October 10, 2026, one count per lot, with hour-by-hour and day-by-day tables for each marketplace.

## Three things it found

1. **Some marketplaces close in a tight block.** 79.3% of ShopGoodwill lots closed in 3 evening hours (6 pm–9 pm Pacific); mac.bid and K-BID are similarly concentrated, and 67.2% of HiBid lots closed between 6 pm and midnight Eastern.
2. **Others spread across the day.** eBay sellers choose their own end times, so its closes are widely spread, though Sunday was its busiest day; AllSurplus and BestBid spread out too, and Proxibid closed mostly in the morning.
3. **Weekends depend on the marketplace.** ShopGoodwill closed only 19.5% of its lots on Saturday and Sunday, and mac.bid 12.8%, while Sunday was eBay's busiest day.
