Everything you need to know
Technical questions, architecture details, and operational guidance for Ghost Node.
Does Ghost Node place bids automatically?
Yes. Ghost Node bids for you, on every plan. You set a hard ceiling per lot and it never bids a cent above it — the ceiling is checked again on every monitor tick, immediately before each bid is submitted.
Two strategies: immediate places the minimum increment now and lets the marketplace's proxy hold your lead up to your ceiling, while snipe waits until the last seconds before close so your ceiling is revealed as late as possible. Snipe is available from Hunter upward.
You stay in control of spend three ways: the per-lot ceiling, a cap on how many bids it may place per day, and a monthly cap on lots it may win for you. Hit the win cap and the monitors stop submitting — and tell you why. Lots you win yourself, bidding directly on the marketplace while Ghost Node only watches, are recorded as external wins and never consume that quota. Your own manual bidding is never touched.

Can it buy an eBay item that keeps selling out?
Yes — that is the restock snipe-buyer, and it is a different machine from the auction bidder. Some Buy-It-Now listings sell out within seconds of being restocked, which makes them impossible to catch by hand. Point a watcher at one and Ghost Node polls its availability; the moment stock flips back to in-stock it completes the purchase, before the listing sells out again.
It is bounded the same way bidding is: a maximum price you will pay, a monthly cap on how many restock buys it may make, and a limit on how many watchers you can run at once. There is also a sanity check against the last observed price, so a listing quietly revised upward while it was out of stock does not get bought at the new number.

Can it register me for an auction?
Yes, on every plan. Many auction houses require you to be approved for a specific sale before a bid will even be accepted, and approval is not instant — which is how a lot you were watching closes while you are still filling in a form. Ghost Node registers your marketplace account for the sale in advance, so the bid is possible when the moment arrives.
It is metered per month rather than per lot, because registration is per-sale and one sale can hold hundreds of lots you care about.

What stops it spending more than I meant?
Five independent limits, and a bid has to clear all of them:
Your ceiling on that lot — never exceeded, re-checked immediately before every submission. A per-lot ceiling cap for your plan, so a mistyped ceiling cannot run away. A daily bid cap, so a misbehaving monitor cannot machine-gun a marketplace. A monthly win cap, so it cannot win you more than you planned to buy. And the master switch — turning auto-bidding off stops every new bid immediately while leaving your armed targets in place, so you can pause without losing your setup.
Every one of these is enforced server-side at bid time, not in the browser, and the wins cap counts only lots Ghost Node won for you.

How does the 5-thread architecture work?
Five engine threads run alongside the API, and they do different jobs rather than five copies of one: scraper (pulls new lots), queue (schedules what to look at next), refresh (re-checks price and time-left on lots you care about), alerts (decides what is worth telling you) and verification (confirms a lot is still real before acting on it). Auto-bid monitors run as their own per-marketplace workers on top.
Because the jobs are separate, a slow or retrying site cannot stall the clock on a lot that is closing in ninety seconds. That separation is the whole point — bidding is time-critical and scraping is not.

Which auction sites are supported?
Two different questions, so two answers.
For watching, over 170 marketplace connectors ship in the box — eBay, ShopGoodwill, HiBid, John Pye, AllSurplus, Catawiki, LiveAuctioneers, Invaluable, Proxibid, BidSpotter, GovDeals, Mac.bid and many regional houses across the US, UK and Europe. How many you may run at once is your plan's enabled-sites quota, not a technical limit.
For bidding, 32 of those have a dedicated auto-bid adapter that knows the site's own increment rules and close behaviour. Each one is armed individually by us before it can spend real money, so a newly added marketplace is watch-only until it has been proven on that site. Ask us which are live for your account — we will tell you straight rather than let you arm a bid on a site we have not finished proving.

How does GhostNode decide what to show me?
Every lot whose title matches one of your keywords, on a marketplace you have switched on, appears in Listings with its price, closing time and location. Each keyword can carry an optional minimum and maximum price. An AI filter exists in the code but is switched off, so nothing is hidden or ranked by AI.
What is "stealth mode"?
Stealth mode is our label for low-footprint browser automation: CloakBrowser/Patchright (Chromium) or system Chrome-class browsers, with throttling, backoff, and human-like pacing so traffic looks normal. It reduces blocks and captcha friction compared with hammering sites at full speed—especially across many lots and keywords.
How do Telegram alerts work?
You can connect Telegram in Connections, through GhostNode's own bot. Alerts for newly found lots are not sent on the marketplaces GhostNode searches today, so new matches appear in Listings, and starred lots keep a live price in your Watch list. There is no SMS.
Do I need to watch the dashboard all day?
No. GhostNode searches in the background around the clock, and new matches appear in Listings on their own. Armed auto-bids keep working while you are away, never above your ceiling, and each one tells you in the console whether it won or lost.
How much can I customize keywords and prices?
Each keyword can carry an optional min/max priceband (compared in USD), and you choose which marketplaces are searched in Sites, up to your plan's limit. Each auto-bid adds its own ceiling and when to bid: right away, or in the closing moments from the Hunter plan.
Does Ghost Node need my marketplace login or password?
To watch, no. Ghost Node searches marketplaces like a normal visitor, so keywords, Listings and Live search need no marketplace login. To bid for you, yes. Auto-bidding places real bids in your name, so you connect that marketplace account in the console's Connections by signing in to the marketplace. Ghost Node keeps the signed-in session it needs to bid, and you can disconnect it there at any time. You stay responsible for each marketplace’s terms of use.
What if a site rate-limits, errors, or redesigns its pages?
The engine retries failed runs and tracks per-site health; repeated failures can trigger cooldowns so one bad connector doesn’t stall the whole fleet (five threads keep other sites moving). The dashboard surfaces errors and last-success timestamps so you see what’s broken. When layouts change, AI-assisted selector regeneration plus manual overrides help rebuild extraction rules faster than guessing CSS by hand—especially alongside stealth pacing to reduce blocks.
