Bid chains: win the main lot, then the extras
Film 6 of 6 · 2:28
Bid chains link a main lot to its extras: lose the main lot and GhostNode switches the extras off before they bid; win it and each extra bids up to its own ceiling. The film goes case by case: two evenings, your own rules, backups, just one of several, an extra that ends first, and how to set a chain up.

0:00You want the earbuds, the PS5 and the mouse — but only if you win the laptop. Normal auto-bids don't know about each other. Lose the laptop, and they keep bidding anyway — on extras you never wanted on their own.
0:16Bid chains fix that. Pick the lot you want most — the main lot — then the extras that should only bid if you win it. Lose the main lot, and GhostNode switches off every extra before it bids. Win it, and each extra bids the way its auto-bid is set, up to its own ceiling.
0:36Seven o'clock. The laptop is won, so the extras bid as usual. 7:02. The PS5 is lost, and the mouse still bids: it only needed the laptop. Lose the laptop instead, and everything after it switches off at once.
0:56Want the PS5 and the mouse even without the laptop? Set your own rules: let the PS5 bid on its own, and the mouse wait only for the PS5. Lose the laptop now, and only the earbuds switch off. Win the PS5, and the mouse still bids.
1:16A lot can also be a backup: it bids only if you don't win the main one. Or it can need any one of several — the mouse bids if you win either laptop.
1:27Several similar lots, but you need just one? Choose Just one of several. GhostNode tries them in the order they end: lose the first, and the next one bids. Once one is won, the rest are switched off.
1:43If an extra ends before the main lot, GhostNode won't know the result in time. It warns you, and you choose: skip it, bid only if you're winning the main lot then, or bid anyway.
1:56To set one up, open Auto Bidding, choose Chains, and press New chain. Say what the chain should do. Pick the main lot. Tick the extras. Check what will happen, then save. It's live right away.
2:11GhostNode keeps you posted on Telegram or e-mail — when a main lot is about to close, and as soon as it's decided.
